The Good Kids Club is an extension of our Sunday School Ministry that provides character building classes and activities to children in the community. Based at the Westside Park Recreation Center, the Good Kids Club begins at 1:30 pm, right after the tutorial program. We use Bible stories, videos, and fun activities to teach principles of honesty, love and care for one another.
Our Community Tutorial Program is an outgrowth of our church's tutorial program that served students for years. We were encouraged to take the program into the community and now we are on our fourth year of service at Westside Park in Deerfield Beach. We specialize in helping elementary and middle school students improve their reading and math performance, with an empahsis on preparing students for the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test. The tutorial program runs from September to June, on Saturdays from Noon to 1:30 pm.
The Lord has blessed us with a Food Basket ministry to meet to physical needs of families in our community. We are currently serving over 50 families a three to four week supply of food once a month. We partner with Florida Food Recovery in Miami and transport a truckload of food to our area. We then package and distribute the food over a single weekend to families in the church and in the community that are in need. We welcome anyone who wants to help.
